Biomimetic Dentistry

According to the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry:
Biomimetic dentistry, a type of tooth-conserving dentistry, treats weak, fractured, and decayed teeth in a way that keeps them strong and seals them from bacterial invasion. In dental practices around the world, Biomimetic Dentistry has practically eliminated cutting teeth down for crowns and destructive root canal treatment. Patients are happier and often spend less compared to conventional treatment.

Dr. Carver uses these conservative techniques to strengthen weak teeth using resin material and pushing the need for more extensive treatment further into the future.  By using fibers, advanced modern adhesives and specialized resins that better mimic the diffferent layers of natural teeth, Dr Carver can hold together what remains of the existing tooth structure.  Although she uses these techniques wherever possible, there are certain cases that do require crowns and or root canals.
